Andy Marcell

 

Andy Marcell serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Risk Capital. He develops innovative ways to grow the business across its existing client base and implements a range of strategies to attract new clients to the firm. He is a member of the Reinsurance Solutions Executive Committee.

Most recently, Andy was President of Aon Benfield and joined the firm in 2015, when he was appointed Head of Strategy. Prior to joining Aon Benfield, he was CEO of Guy Carpenter’s U.S. Operations and head of their Global Facultative business. During his 25 years at Guy Carpenter, he served in a variety of increasingly senior roles. He was also a member of their Board of Managers and the International Leadership Team. He joined their London office in 1990 from Hoare Govett in London, where he was a Convertible Equity Trader.

Andy is a UK native but lives in New York with his wife, Carol, and three children, a son and two daughters. He is an avid history lover. When he’s not cheering for the Chelsea Football Club, he and his family are involved with various charitable organizations, namely The North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center.
